13th Asian Management Research and Case Conference

AMRC

Theme: Managing for the Future: Technology, Sustainability and the Human Condition

Rapid advances in artificial intelligence, automation, digital platforms, and data analytics are transforming how organisations create value, compete, and interact with stakeholders. While these innovations unlock unprecedented opportunities, they also raise critical questions around ethics, governance, and the displacement of human roles.

At the same time, sustainability has become an unavoidable imperative. From climate change to resource scarcity and shifting regulatory landscapes, businesses must embed environmental and social responsibility into their core strategies as a driver of long-term resilience and growth.

Finally, the human condition, the well-being, dignity, and agency of individuals within organisations and societies, remains central. Core issues such as mental health, equity and inclusion, responsible leadership, and the future of meaningful work are redefining what it means to manage responsibly in the 21st century.

Together, these forces demand a rethinking of management theory and practice: how can businesses embrace innovation while safeguarding people and the planet? How can leaders balance efficiency and profitability with ethical responsibility? And how can management education prepare the next generation to thrive in this rapidly evolving context?

Lahore University of Management Sciences and UAE University at AMRC 2026 invite scholars, educators, and practitioners to engage with these questions and to contribute new insights, frameworks, and cases that will shape the discourse on management in Asia and the world.
